Dear mr. Gay,
I got in to college last night so that’s why I didnt do this post
My apologies

1. Consumption - What did you consume today? Please make a list for your usage of the following substances Water – three 24 ounce bottles of water, brushed teeth, flushed toilet, two quick showers Food – hame egg and cheese for breakfast, turkey and cheese for lunch with cookies and a nutri grain bar, chicken cutlets and pasta for dinner Electricity – usual usage of lights, computer for this assignment, probably watching the new south park tonight if i can stay up long enough Gasoline – ride to and from school with mike and tyler $$Money$$ - $3 on ham egg and cheese for breakfast 2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources? I drank less water today and therefore didn’t need to go to the bathroom as often, i took extra quick showers in the morning and afternoon, both of these were in an effort to cut down on my use consumption of water. I have also stopped shaving in order to cut down on my use of razors and shaving cream. 3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples. I didn’t enjoy trying to not drink as much water because i felt dehydrated, but as I’ve said before in my posts, shorter showers are something that not only I, but everyone can work on and sustain. I’m not sure how much longer i can hold out without shaving, its getting itchy. 4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this? I am impressed with the overall group effort thus far into the challenge, today’s water audit and the overall decrease in use of social networking and transportation/gasoline appears to be a success. However, i am still having trouble committing to taking this challenge to the next level
1. Consumption - What did you consume today? Please make a list for your usage of the following substances Water – four 24 ounce bottles of water, brushed teeth, showered, flushed toilet, washed hands Food – ham egg and cheese for breakfast, pb & j plus cookies and an apple for lunch, pizza for dinner and ice cream for dessert. Electricity – usual use of lights, watching the new tosh.0 later tonight Gasoline – ride to school with father, ride home from my bro mike $$Money$$ - spent $3 on a breakfast sandwich, spent $10 on pizza for dinner 2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources? I continued my shorter showers today and was going to spend less money today until i got home to find no parents and money to buy dinner. Other than that my resource use was pretty consistent with the last few days. 3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples. My shorter showers are clearly sustainable and i was on track to spend less money until i got home. I don’t want to drink less water because i don’t want to get dehydrated and i need my morning showers to wake up so i may have reached to limit of my reduction unless i’m willing to drastically alter my lifestyle. 4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this? Most people seem to be doing the best they can do. I am impressed with the amount people are cutting down on tv and social networking. I don’t spend enough time at my own house to drastically cut into these sources of resource use so i will continue to do the best i can to reduce my own usage.
1. Consumption - What did you consume today? Please make a list for your usage of the following substances Water – 5 24 ounce water bottles, refilled each time, flushed the toilet a few times, brushed my teeth, shortened 5 minute shower in the morning and a 10 minute shower after football practice. Food – ham egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast, turkey and cheese for lunch, pasta and chicken for dinner, no snacks besides a couple cookies and an apple with lunch. Electricity – usual usage of lights, watching monday night football as i type this (packers just returned a punt 79 yards for a touchdown), only used my computer for this assignment and a quick check on facebook. Gasoline – drove to school with my best buds mike and tyler as usual, took the bus home $$Money$$ - bought my water bottle and the ham egg and cheese sandwich, $5 spent today. 2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources? I took a shorter shower today but i needed to buy breakfast because i overslept and didn’t have time while i was at home. However, i didn’t buy any snacks during lunch or after practice even though i would have loved some grub. 3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples. The shortened showers are obviously something that would be easy to institute permanently, i also could scale back the amount of money i spend in the morning by having enough time to eat before i leave my house. These changes could be permanently but would reduce my quality of life noticeably. 4. Following - What did you learn from following the tumblr feed of your peers? Did one person’s actions resonate with you in a positive way? Will you adjust your own actions because of this? I have learned that i am similar to most of my peers in that i feel that even though it is easy to not spend money for a single day, it is very difficult to sustain this activity over time. I thought Connor Higgins’ video was hilarious even though he may have taken this assignment a little too far. I don’t foresee a situation in which i starve myself for an entire day for this assignment, sorry Mr. Gay.
1. Consumption - What did you consume today?
Water- nothing more than the average amount, a few glasses of water, milk with breakfast, some apple cider with lunch, and probably more milk with dinner.
Food- cereal for breakfast, leftover calzone for lunch, and i have no idea what my mother is making for dinner tonight. I didn’t eat any snacks today but i will probably have a solid amount of homemade brownies for dessert.
Electricity- lights, tv for watching football, computer for doing this assignment and updating my fantasy football team, cellphone for contact with others, electric leaf blower to help with raking leaves.
Gasoline (fossil fuels)- got a ride home from my friend mike spending the night at his house, but other than that I didn’t drive anywhere.
$$Money$$ - I didn’t spend any money today
2. Reduction - In what areas of your current lifestyle did you try to scale back the use of specific resources?
I didn’t go on facebook at all today exempt for once in the morning before I remembered that this assignment started today. Once I remembered, I didn’t go back on any social networking site until i went on the tumblr to write this post.
3. Sustainability - Are there any changes that you made to your daily routine that you could envision making for the long term? Can you reduce your consumption permanently? Why or why not? Please be specific, and provide examples.
I think that I could sustain this low level of social networking usage because I already do not go on Facebook that often. I usually only go on Facebook when i am procrastinating so it would not be very difficult for me to cut social networking out of my life. Of all the theme days, this is probably the easiest day for me because it had such a small impact on my daily routine.
